Our Story
Established in 2016, ASC Salon is nestled in the iconic rise of Parnell. Designed to create an immediate sense of relaxation upon arrival, the award-winning interior fit-out comes complete with ground-level cutting and styling stations. Upstairs, you’ll find the longer-treatment zone with luxe velvet sofas, a coffee machine and a selection of boutique wine and beer offerings.
With over 25 years’ experience each, Stephen and Andrea Cockle started their journey in Auckland, followed by a seven-year stint in London and eventually migrated home with the goal of running their own salon.
Armed with expert knowledge and ample experience, the husband and wife team founded ASC Salon with a sustainable vision. Their business ethos reflects their personal ethics and only use products which are sulphate, paraben and cruelty free.

Co-Founder / Creative DirectorWith a career spanning over 3 decades, Stephen stands as a paragon of excellence in the hairdressing industry. Having worked both in Aotearoa NZ and London, Stephen decided to channel his passion and knowledge into a more personal venture. Seven years ago, he, alongside his wife Andrea, laid the foundation of their own salon. ASC is not just a testament to their love for hairdressing but also a reflection of their commitment to excellence and innovation.
Stephen is a firm believer in the power of education, constantly seeking to expand his own knowledge and skills. His commitment to excellence extends beyond his personal development; he is equally dedicated to the growth and education of his team.
